James L. Rohrabaugh, 82, of Northbrook, passed away March 3, 2016. Beloved husband for 54 years of Carol; father of Beth Ann Tarter, Bradley James (Margaret), Brenda Leeann, and Blake Andrew (Nicole); grandfather of Matthew, Caylor, Kristen, Maxwell, Sienna, Elin and Bella Karen; brother of Judi (late Ken) Fortman and the late Jane Shoemaker; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rohrabaugh started his career as a teacher in Seymour, Indiana and then was an administrator in the Fort Wayne Community School District. He retired after 23 years as the Superintendent of District 27 in Northbrook. He was active with the Northbrook Rotary Club and Village Presbyterian Church, Northbrook.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11 am at The Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Rd., Northbrook, IL 60062. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The James L. Rohrabaugh Scholarship Fund, Northbrook School District 27, 1250 Sanders Rd., Northbrook, IL 60062 or The Music Department of The Village Presbyterian Church.
