William “Bud” Ried, 89, longtime resident of Northbrook, passed away March 5, 2016. Bud was a WWII Navy Veteran and was an officer with the Northbrook Police Department for over 20 years. Loving husband for 65 years to Marian; beloved father of Michael Ried, Peggy (James) Hawrysko and the late Nancy Ried Spielman; proud grandfather of Ryan Ried Spielman, Michael W. Ried II, and Benjamin Ried Hawrysko.
Visitation Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4 pm until time of remembrance service 7 pm at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview (just south of Lake Ave. on
west side). Funeral procession from the funeral home Friday, March 11 at 10:30 am to Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge for graveside service.
