Rudolph J. Iberle, 86, of Glen Ellyn, IL, formerly of Lake Bluff and Chicago, died March 1, 2016. Rudolph was born in Chicago on September 8, 1929 to George and Josephine (Schmid) Iberle. He was the owner of Iberle Marathon in Skokie from 1969 until 2005. Rudy was also involved in many civic activities; he was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest, the American Legion, and the Lake Bluff Fourth of July Parade committee.
Rudy was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Schwaben Verein. Beloved husband of the late Joan Bruno Iberle (2005); adored father of Ann (Daniel) Rak, John (Mary) Iberle, Frances (Michael) Snyder, Kathryn (John) Kuntz, and Carla (Gregory) Nowak; grandfather of thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother George. Also survived by his beloved cousin Raymond Schmid and sisters-in-law Barbara Colling and Eleanor Iberle.
Rudy was deeply loved and will be missed by his large extended family and many friends.
