George Thomas Weil, age 64, of Gurnee, Illinois, formally of Highland Park. IL. Passed away on February 19th, at JourneyCare Hospice in Glenview, IL. Tom graduated from Deerfield High School in 1970. He was employed by Dealer’s Ready Mix for 25 years and retired in 2008.
Tom was a nature lover, an outdoorsman and adventurer. He loved to golf, fish, camp, hike, canoe and go on “walk abouts” with friends throughout the western states. He was unmatched with a rod and reel.
He is survived by hisdaughter Stacey Chaput (Rick) of Des Plaines, IL, daughter Kelsey Weil of Highwood, IL, their loving mother Wilma Weil of Highwood, IL, brother Daniel Weil (Dori) of Redondo Beach, CA, brother David (Susan) Weil of North Chicago, IL, brother Larry (Coriena) Weil of Gurnee, IL, sister Lisa (Mike) Church of Round Lake, IL, sister Sheila (Robert) Vleck of Grayslake, IL, two grandchildren Ricki and Nina Chaput. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Weil in 1988, his father George L. Weil Jr. in 2001, his sister Sharon in 1966, and his brother Johnny in 1965.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 from 4:00 pm until time of memorial service 7:00 pm at Kelly and Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL.
