Vickie Jean Semler, 71, of Lake Forest, IL died July 1, 2016 at her home. Vickie was born January 9, 1945 to Walter and Lillian (Williams) Myers in Freeport, IL. Vickie is survived by her husband Loren; children Katherine (John) Felton, Christine (Ralph) D’Amico, and Loren W. (Karen) Semler; Grandchildren Kaylene (Josiah) Eschbach, Patrick Whetstone, Rachael Felton, Loren M. Semler, Amber Semler and Emily Semler; sisters Karen Vehmeier and JoEllen Kunkle. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Ave, Lake Forest, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Les Turner ALS Foundation, Loren and Vickie Semler Research Fund or Carthage College Loren and Vickie Semler Endowed Bridge Scholarship Fund.
