Deimel, Alice (nee Kaufmann) beloved and devoted wife of 63 years to John, passed away at her Glencoe home February 27th after a short illness. Loving mother of Thomas (Pier A. London), Jane McClarren (Todd) and Peter. Adoring grandmother of Ian and Kevin McClarren, Tegen and Mirae Deimel. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Florence Kaufmann of Highland Park, and her brother, Richard Kaufmann.
Much loved by all who knew her, Alice was the kindest and most thoughtful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and confidant. She enjoyed playing bridge weekly with her friends, visiting the Chicago Botanic Gardens, enjoying the arts, especially concerts at Ravinia, and time with her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed and in our hearts forever. Private family services have been held. A celebration of her life will be hosted on Thursday, March 3rd from 4-8pm at Northmoor Country Club, 820 Edgewood Road, Highland Park, IL.
