Kevin James Bowman, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 4, 2016. Survivors include his mother, Raelene Bowman of Lake Forest; brothers, David (Stacey) and Craig; and cousins: Chris Bowman, Heather (Chris) Freeman and Kristen Bowman.
His father Harry predeceased him.
Kevin was an integral economist and professor who taught economics at Bloomsburg University, Augsburg College, Loyola University Chicago and most recently at DeVry Chicago. He was the co-author of an economics textbook and published many articles in professional journals. He received his doctorate and master of arts in economics from University of Illinois Chicago and his bachelor of arts in economics from Indiana University. He grew up in St. Joseph and attended public schools there.
Kevin was a caring and loving family member and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 East Westminster
Lake Forest.
