Valentino Biondi, 81, of Highland Park, IL passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016. Beloved husband to Neia and the late Mary; loving father of Roger (Joanne) Biondi and Julie (Bill) May; cherished grandfather of Daniel, Valarie, Marie, Andrew, Bradley, Melissa, Michelle; and dear brother of Ray and Remo (Liz) and brother-in-law to Renata; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was also a member of the Modenese Society and Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen for over 50 years, and also a member of the Highwood Bocce Court. He is predeceased by his brothers Albert, Amedeo (Mary) and his sister Mary (Sergio). He was a loving, smiling, and giving man who always enjoyed helping those around him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd, Highland Park, IL.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 10:00 am at St. James Church, 134 North Ave. Highwood, IL 60040. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rainbow Hospice, 1550 Bishop Court, Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
