Kevin Mark Drasler, 52, of Mundelein, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL after battling cancer for six months. He was born February 21, 1963 in Chicago, was a graduate of Lake Forest High School in 1981 and had been a systems administrator at the landscaping company, James Martin Associates.
Kevin was a talented musician and artist and was a devoted husband to his wife, Sheryl and a proud father to his 8 year old son, Joey. His optimism and courage after his cancer diagnosis last summer were an inspiration to all his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Sheryl Drasler and his son, Joey of Mundelein; his mother, Audrey Drasler of Gurnee; a sister, Karen (Steve) LuKanic; his father and mother in-law, Al & Joan Proia; his aunt and godmother, Beverly Koester and also by many nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Drasler.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Avenue (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) in Libertyville.
